Čubrilović and Šauzberger on European integrations, investments and cooperation of European regions
President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović, spoke today in Banja Luka with expert adviser for the issue of regions and cities in the countries of the EU enlargement and European neighborhood policy, Francom Šauzbergerom (Franz Schausberger) on the political situation in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly in the context of European integrations.
President Čubrilović said that the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska is definitely committed to European integrations and fulfillment of conditions prescribed by the reform agenda which was agreed by leading leaders and institutions in the Republic of Srpska and at the level of joint bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"By definitely adopting the Declaration on the European path of the Republic of Srpska National Assembly demonstrated its commitment for the fulfillment of conditions and the adoption of reform laws, in accordance with the Constitution and jurisdictions which are clearly defined for each level of government," said Čubrilović.
He expressed willingness for harmonization and compromise but in that context, at the same time, the position of the Republic of Srpska must be clearly visible on the road to European integrations.
During the talks it was pointed out that for all levels of government, therefore the municipalities and cities in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is very important to be actively involved and to contribute to the process of European integrations.
Franc Šauzberger pointed out on the possibilities of faster development which for municipalities and regions opens EU accession process, as well as an increase in European and international investments. President Čubirilović on this occasion stressed that the maintenance of international conference on mobility and connectivity of cities of Europe is announced in Banja Luka and that this is an important stimulus and a positive approach of establishing a more stable and productive cooperation within the European regions.
Sixth Conference of the Institute of the Regions of Europe (IRE), headquartered in Salzburg, will be held on 29th March 2017, at the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska. This conference will include some 20 international experts, including Franc Šauzberger, and more than 25 mayors from the Republic of Srpska.
Sixth Conference IRE " how to get the status of environmentally sustainable city ; Sustainable and interconnected cities in Europe. " will be dedicated to sustainability and cohesion of cities in Europe with the aim of improving cooperation and implementation of joint projects.
