Čubrilović: Prosecute all responsible for crime against Serbs in Sijekovac

President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of crimes against Serbs in Sijekovac in the municipality of Brod, called on the competent judicial institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina to finally prosecute all members of the Croatian army and paramilitary Bosniak - Croatian units who are responsible for the murder of 46 civilians, including women, children and the elderly.

"This is the first major war crime against Serbs during the last war, committed before the outbreak of the civil war in Bosnia. Innocent people were killed and whole families were brutally destroyed. We must not forget this crime. We repeatedly and firmly demand for the justice to be finally done, and criminals brought to justice, "said Čubrilović.

President of the National Assembly stressed that this crime, unfortunately, indicated what the suffering of Serbian people will be during the last war in BiH.

"Families of victims from Sijekovac a quarter of a century are waiting for the responsible for war crimes to be processed. Silence of judicial institutions for them and for all Serbian victims is an insult and a bad message," said Čubrilović.

In the village Sijekovac, in the municipality of Brod, on 26th  March will be marked 25 years since the Croatian regular forces, with paramilitary Bosniak - Croatian formations perpetrated heinous crimes, and on several occasions killed 46 Serb civilians, women, children and the elderly.

In the first war crime committed on the territory of BiH in an hour nine people were killed, including most members of the families Milošević and Zečević. There were killed fathers with two and three sons.
