President Čubrilović visited the municipality of East Drvar

President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović visited today the municipality of East Drvar where he met the mayor Milka Ivanković and the President of the Municipal Assembly Duško Agić.
The management of this municipality informed President Čubrilović about the plans for the development of one of the smallest municipalities in the Republic of Srpska, as well as about road construction projects.

President Čubrilović said that the competent institutions and organs of the Republic of Srpska should support the development of the municipality of East Drvar, as well as all other marginal municipalities in the Republic of Srpska.

"This municipality deserves the full attention of all organs and institutions of the Republic of Srpska," said Čubrilović after the meeting.
The National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, said Čubrilovć, will consult the competent institutions to help marginal municipalities, such as East Drvar, Drinić, Oštra Luka, East Mostar.

"These people can no longer wait, because more than 20 years have passed since the war, and something important must be done to enable the Republic of Srpska to be more stable," said Čubrilović. He stressed that the Republic of Srpska, which has large centers, can not be complete, unique, or safe without these marginal municipalities.

Milka Ivanković, the mayor of the municipality of Eastern Drvar, said that the occasion of this meeting was the survival and development of the municipality and the preservation of the interests of Serbian returnees in the municipality of East Drvar through the institutions and the Government of the Republic of Srpska.

She stated that forestry is the basic activity of the population in this municipality, and that in this local community is operated by the municipal administration, the Health Center, the police station, private companies.
"The municipality of East Drvar is extremely underdeveloped, but it is financially stable," Ivanković said, adding that the municipality is seeking the support of the Government and institutions of the Republic of  Srpska.
