The Fifth Special Session of the National Assembly on vital national interest of the Republic of Srpska will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019
The Collegium of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska decided that Fifth Special Session of the National Assembly will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at 12.00.
At this session National Assembly should give its opinion on the Draft Decision about confirming the statement of the Chairman of BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik on the Conclusion about the official attitude of Bosnia and Herzegovina about the continuation of the building the bridge Komarna-Peljesac by the Republic of Croatia side.
In accordance with Article V/2 paragraph g) of the Constitution of BiH, the Chairman and Serbian memeber Milorad Dodik initiated the question of the Republic of Srpska vital national interest in accordance with the deadlines laid down in the Constitution.
Article V/2 paragraph (g) of the BiH Constitution states that: "A Presidency Member who disagrees with a decision may make the Presidency's decision to be declared destructive to the vital interest of the Entities for the territory of which it was elected, provided that it does so within three days its adoption. Such a decision shall be immediately addressed to the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, if such declaration is made by a member of that territory; Bosniak delegates in the House of Peoples of the Federation, if such a statement was given by a Bosniak member; or Croatian delegates in the same body, provided that statement was given by a Croatian member. If such a declaration is confirmed by a two-thirds majority vote within 10 days of the referral, the disputed decision of the Presidency shall have no effect ".
