The Legislative Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska held a session today to discuss the draft version of the proposed amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska.

After the session of this working body, the President of the Legislative Committee Dušica Šolaja stated that the procedure for amending the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska has been officially initiated.

She stressed that it was agreed that the MPs' clubs would submit suggestions and proposals regarding changes to the Rules of Procedure within the next seven days, and that no one was left out because each MP was allowed to do so.

Šolaja said it was agreed that the working material should be provided to all MPs to make their suggestions within the deadline.

"After the Legislative Committee has received all the suggestions and proposals, we will have to work hard to come up with the final version that we will propose to the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska," explained Šolaja.

She said that the Legislative Committee would consider and formulate all the proposals in order to get the text of amendments that would contribute to a more efficient, productive and better work of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska.

She recalled that MPs' clubs submitted proposals late last year regarding amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska

"On the basis of these proposals, the Cabinet of the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska made a working version of the amendments to the existing Rules of Procedure and forwarded it to the Legislative Committee," explained Šolaja.
