President Cubrilovic attended the event marking the Day of the Serbian unity, freedom, and national flag

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Nedeljko Cubrilovic, attended today the central event marking the Day of Serbian unity, freedom and the national flag, which was maintained at the City of Bijeljina, King Peter Karadjordjevic First Square.

The ceremony was attended by His excellency Patriarch Porfirije, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, the President of the Republic of Srpska, Zeljka Cvijanovic, the Serbian member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Vladimir Olic, Prime ministers of Srpska and Serbia, Ana Brnabic and Radovan Viskovic, as well as many invited guests and citizens of Srpska and Serbia

The President of the Republic of Srpska Zeljka Cvijanovic said at the occasion that the Republic of Srpska and Serbia are celebrating three years in continuation the Day of Serbian unity, freedom, and the national flag, commemorating the Day of the breakout of the Thessaloniki front, but as well as the symbol of what Serbian people are cultivating in their spirit, no matter of where they are.

The Serbian member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodika said that the Serbian people must stay firm and consistent and fight to keep unity.

Dodik also stressed that the Republic of Srpska looks at Serbia and that the unity of the Serbian people can be seen today at every corner.

“Mother Serbia is something that we really live here with. We feel the brotherhood love coming from Serbia and we are very proud of it. It is not about neighbor love, it is about brotherhood love. We are more and more becoming one and we are turned to each other.”

He wished for future generations to live in liberty and peace, and to love their flag.

His excellency, Patriarch Porfirije, said that originally the flag presents the symbol of unity and the symbol of the essence and fundamental identity of one nation.  

Our flag is the notable sign of our unity and shows who we are as one nation, and which way we are going and where we should go”, said Porfirije.

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said at the event in Bijeljina that this historical moment seeks unity under the flag, Serbian three color flag.

He stated that the challenges Serbian people face now are not much easier than those that the generation of the Great War succeeded to overcome.
