President Cubrilovic talked with Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem and visited The Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, talked today, on the second day of the visit to the State of Israel, with Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem. They talked about the cooperation between Christian people and churches, especially emphasizing friendship relations between Serbian and Greek people.

President Cubrilovic said that Patriarch Theophilos III believes that in BiH Dayton Peace Agreement would be respected and implemented, which he also said, the Republic of Srpska believes is mandatory and real.

“I was surprised how good Patriarch Theophilos III knows about the situation in the Republic of Srpska and BiH. He has a great interest, not only spiritually, for positive political solutions”, stated Cubrilovic after the meeting with the Patriarch.

He added that it is of great importance the support and the opinion of Patriarch Theophilos.

On this occasion, President Cubrilovic gave the Patriarch the icon of the bishop Platon, who died suffering in WWII.

After this meeting, the President of the National Assembly, visited The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where he talked with the Greek monk, the guardian of Christ’s grave, as well as the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, one of the most important Jews sanctities.
