President Stevandić met with the ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H. E. Igor Kalabuhov

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr. Nenad Stevandić, met today in Banja Luka with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Igor Kalabukhov, who on that occasion handed him an invitation from the President of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Volodin, for a visit to Moscow and further cooperation.

President Stevandić thanked Ambassador Kalabuhov for the invitation, stressing that inter-parliamentary cooperation with the Russian Federation is of great importance for the Republic of Srpska, and that he will continue to advocate for cooperation in all spheres of social and political life, including economy, culture, education and science.

At the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of further developing friendly relations and strengthening cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and the Russian Federation based on common interests and mutual respect. President Stevandić emphasized that these relations are the result of long-term contacts and cooperation and that they are older than world wars and current conflicts in the world, and that they belong to the heritage of both nations.
