The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Dr Nenad Stevandic, supported the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, and Serbia's complete leadership in defending its institutions and constitutional order.

“If someone did not understand until today that the breakdown of the constitutional order is on the scene and terroristic acting with the aim of violent seizure of power by methods that endanger human lives, in the most important legislative institution in Serbia, now we have crystal clear perception of the violence and the violent persons, who are ready to to abuse and destroy everybody: the dead, students and NGO, in the in the bestial degradation of the democratic order and human behavior," said Stevandic.

Stevandic highlighted that the state has to react decisively and firmly for the institutions to work and for citizens to live freely and undisturbed in their own country.

"Anyone who uses and promotes violence in the National Assembly of Serbia, as the highest legislative house, but also in other institutions and in public places, commits a crime against citizens, their health, safety and the achievements of democratic society in Serbia. Threatening health, life and safety everywhere is an act of terrorism with unforeseeable consequences for the people, society and state. This must be stopped in every country, including Serbia, by implementing legally defined measures to protect citizens, their freedoms and health. Otherwise, we will witness chaos where everyone can use violence against everyone in our homes, apartments, businesses and in every possible place," concluded Stevandic.
