President Stevandic attended the commemoration of the Day of Remembrance for 700 000 victims of the Ustasha crime-genocide

In Donja Gradina, a central event marking the Day of Remembrance of the 700,000 victims of the Ustasha crime-genocide in the Jasenovac concentration camp was held, which was also attended by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr Nenad Stevandic.

The commemoration of Remembrance Day began with the Holy Liturgy in the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Kozarska Dubica.

At the "Topole" cemetery in the Donja Gradina Memorial Area, wreaths were laid for more than 500,000 Serbs, 40,000 Roma, 33,000 Jews, and 127,000 anti-fascists who were brutally murdered in the Jasenovac system of Croatian concentration camps.

On behalf of the institutions of the Republic of Srpska, the president of the Srpska Milorad Dodik, the president of the National Assembly Nenad Stevandic, the prime minister Radovan Viskovic and the Serbian member and chairperson of the BiH Presidency Zeljka Cvijanovic laid the wreath.

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, also laid the wreath, and he was accompanied by the President of the Assembly of Serbia Vladimir Orlic, the Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali, and the Minister of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs of Serbia Nikola Selakovic.

On the plateau of the Donja Gradina memorial area, a prayer memorial service was held for the Serbian, Jewish, and Roma victims who were brutally murdered in the Jasenovac system of Croatian concentration camps.
