President Stevandic attended the opening of the event “Days of Srpska in Serbia”

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr Nnenad Stevandic attended tonight the opening of the event “Days of Srpska in Serbia”.

The solemn opening of the event was also attended by Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic,, who opened the event, Minister of Interior in the Republic of Srpska government Sinisa Karan, Minister for European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokic, as well as the Minister of Finance of Serbia Sinisa Mali, who acted as the envoy of the President of Serbia.

The event was also attended by the Minister of Culture Nikola Selakovic, Minister of Informing Dejan Ristic, the Director of the Office for Public and Cultural Diplomacy Arnaud Guillon, and Prince Alexander and Princess Catherine Karadjordjevic. 

Other officials of Serbia and Srpska also attended the event, the representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Serbian Army, institutions of culture and science, and other eminent guests.

At this occasion, president Stevandic said to the media that the cooperation between Serbia and Srpska is every day stronger and dedicated to peace and preserving the interests of its people.

Every year we have something to boast. Cooperation is not only on paper, it is also in many projects", said Stevandić.

He added that this cooperation has been formalized since Serbia and Srpska began to mourn together on the commemoration of the difficult days of Serbian history, the observance of suffering, as well as since they started to open factories, bridges, and roads, celebrate joint successes, attend military exercises and all significant events. dates.

"Every year there is some progress, one more bridge, highway, hospital... So that cooperation is not only on paper but formalized." "The most important thing is that after the signing of the Declaration at the Serbian Parliament on the future of our people, it is getting bigger and bigger," said Stevandic.

"The more criticism and the more misunderstanding", he stressed, "that cooperation is getting stronger".

"We don't pay attention to criticism, that cooperation is dedicated to peace, progress, safeguarding the interests of our people and is not directed against other peoples," added Stevandic.

Days of Srpska in Serbia will last until September 26, and apart from Belgrade, various program activities in the fields of culture, science, education, and art will be held in 11 other cities.
