President Stevandic attends the ceremonial commemoration marking 81 years since the suffering of the Serbs in Drakulic, Sargovac, Motike, and mine Rakovac

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr Nenad Stevandic attended today in Banja Luka the commemoration and wreath laying for more than 2 300 Serbs killed by the Ustasha, 81 years ago, in Drakulic and Motike, Sargovac and mine Rakovac.

On behalf of the institutions of the Republic of Srpska, the wreaths were laid by the President of the Srpska Milorad Dodik, the President of the National Assembly Nenad Stevandic, the Minister of Interior Sinisa Karan and the envoy of the Serbian member of the BiH Presidency General Dragan Vukovic.

Addressing the audience, President Stevandic said that the cult of remembrance in the Republic of Srpska is very strong, not only when this event is in question, but when all places of Serbian suffering are being marked. Stevanidc stated until there are some who are not afraid, to tell the truth, the victims of crimes like this one would not be forgotten and that every crime serves as a reminder that Serbian people must be unified, because only in this way we can be sure crimes like this would never happen again.

The wreath laying was preceded by the St. Liturgy in the Church of St. Georgie in Drakulic, Banja Luka, served by Bishop Banja Lucki Jefrem.
