The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr Nenad Stevandić, believes that celebrating November 25 as the so-called statehood day in the part of the Federation of BiH is discrimination and an attempt to impose something that is neither the result of an agreement nor the will of all people in BiH.

"If you celebrate a non-existent date, a non-existent holiday which is neither defined in the law nor the constitution, then you call into question the legality and everything else in the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina," Stevandić told SRNA.

He stated that the Republic of Srpska residents consider such an imposition playing with fire.

"As for us from the Republic of  Srpska, we will only celebrate what is agreed upon by all three people and both entities, everything else is illegal. If they want to celebrate it in the Federation, we will not interfere," said Stevandić.

He believes that the law on holidays in BiH can only be passed through the compromise of all three people and both entities and that everything else will not be respected.
