President Stevandic in Loznica at the commemoration of the Day of Remembrance of exiled and victims of the "Storm"
The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr Nenad Stevandic attended on Saturday in Loznica with the highest officials of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska the commemoration of the Day of Remembrance of the Serbs who died and were exiled in the Croatian military-police action "Storm".
Action Storm began on August 4, 1995, with the offensive of the Croatian army and police, and HVO units on the then Republic of Srpska Krajina.
More than 220,000 Serbs were expelled, and about two thousand were killed and disappeared, of which 65 percent were civilians.
"At the beginning of August, nothing can ever be more important, because that's when our people lost their loved ones, estates, houses, possessions, their native land," said the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, during the commemoration of the Day of Remembrance of the Serbs who died and were exiled in the "Storm" operation. .
He said that the pogrom will never happen again to the Serbian people.
"Freedom cannot and must not be traded when it comes to our people," said Patriarch Porfirije, speaking in Loznica.
President Stevandic said that the goal of the Croatian criminal action "Storm" was to destroy the Serbs.
Stevandic stated that the Croatian military-police action "Storm" was a shame and a crime whose goal was to destroy the Serbs, and no means were chosen.
