President Stevandic talked with the Association of Professional Firefighters of the Republic of Srpska

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr Nenad Stevandic held today in Banja Luka a work meeting with the delegation of the Association of Professional Firefighters of the Republic of Srpska. The meeting was about the status and position of the firemen and safeguards of the Republic of Srpska.

The Delegation of the Association said that there is a need for an institutional solution to the firefighter question, stating that firefighters do not have the same status in the entire Republic of Srpska, and that it is necessary for all members to have beneficial years of work.

President Stevandić supported the initiative of the Association and emphasized that the issue of the status of firefighters needs to be resolved by law. On this occasion, he invited the members of the Association to actively participate with their proposals in the amendments to the Fire Protection Law of the Republic of Srpska.
