The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic Srpska, Dr. Nenad Stevandic, who is in Moscow to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism, met today with the Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russia
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic Srpska, Dr. Nenad Stevandic, who is in Moscow to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism, met today with the Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev, with whom he discussed the development of bilateral relations and cooperation between the Republic Srpska and the Russian Federation, the situation in the region, as well as the impact of global political developments on these relations.
During the meeting, the high level of cooperation and coordination of positions between the Republic of Srpska and the Russian Federation on all key issues was confirmed. A common position was emphasized regarding the illegal actions of Christian Schmidt, who does not have a legitimate mandate from the United Nations Security Council, due to the opposition of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.
At the meeting, Stevandic and Kosachev agreed to continue and deepen cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Srpska in the political, cultural, and scientific fields.
The meeting was also attended by Lyudmila Nikolaevna Skakovskaya, Vice-Chairwoman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture, member of the Federation Council Group for Cooperation with the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the National Assembly of Republic of Srpska, as well as a representative of the executive body of the state government of the Tver Region, and Oleg Sergeyevich Zhiganov, Deputy Head of the Department for International Cooperation. President Stevandic will continue his visit to the Russian Federation tomorrow, when he will attend the ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism, together with the delegation of the Republic of Srpska, led by President Milorad Dodik.
