Stevandić: The Republic of Srpska remains committed to the primary values of anti-fascism

On the final day of the official visit to the Russian Federation, the delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, headed by the President of the National Assembly Dr Nenad Stevandic, visited the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. and paid tribute to the heroes who won a great victory over fascism.

"All the peoples who resisted the then fascist order in the attempt to enslave the world from Hitler participated in this struggle," said the President of the National Assembly during the visit and added that, along with the visit to the Representative Office of the Republic of Srpska in Moscow, the visit to the Museum represents the end of the official visits to the Russian Federation.

President Stevandić repeated that the Republic of Srpska wants to be open to both the East and the West.

"The Republic of Srpska remains dedicated to the original values of anti-fascism and will not fall under to some new hysteria that would copy that era," said Stevandic and added that the Republic of Srpska received understanding from the Russian Federation for its geopolitical interests.

He thanked the hosts for the reception, noting that the official delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska visited the Council of the Russian Federation, the State Duma, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, as well as faculties and institutes.

"This visit is a gain for the Republic of Srpska because all eyes were on the delegation and it attracted a lot of attention from the world. However, there are certain lies and insinuations when it comes to this visit. The Republic of Srpska has remained neutral and is proud of its neutrality," said Stevandić.

The delegation of the National Assembly, in addition to the president, consists of: MPs Igor Žunić, Darko Banjac and Dragomir Vasić and Secretary General Boran Bosančić.
