The National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska has been opened for cooperation with everyone, especially for young people who are the future of the society, and they should have been informed about the work of the highest legislative institution, said today, Denis Sulic, the Vice-president of the Parliament, who addressed the representatives of the Youth Council of the Republic of Srpska, at the lesson he gave regarding the Day of Youth, August 12.

Sulic said that the realization of the project implies the possibility for interns working in the National Assembly and the students working with MPs.

“Many parliaments have projects like this. We have done many things and I am sure that we will continue with the good cooperation with young people because the National Assembly is a home for all of us”, said Sulic.

He highlighted that with the new Law on health insurance, which is in the procedure, we have ensured for veterans of the first and second category, persons disabled in the war, and students.

“I will ask for the article that provides and stipulates that the insurance is provided only for students of the first cycle of the studies, not older than 26 years. I think that it is not fair for students who finished their studies before this age and for those who entered the second cycle of studies to stay without health insurance”, said he.

Sulic also said that it is important for young people to stay in politics to change bad phenomena in society.

The president of the Youth Council of the Republic of Srpska Mladen Pjevcevic said that the most problematic issue for the young people in Srpska is unemployment.

“It is of great importance for a new document regarding youth politics to be adopted in a short period, and this is a precondition for strategically employing and specializing of young people. We plan to realize a series of projects with the National Assembly, and one of them is for 83 interns to be assigned to this institution”, said Pjevcevic.
