President Stevandić attended the opening of the scientific conference “Serbian Spiritual Identity”

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr Nenad Stevandić, attended today in the Academy of Science and Arts of the Republic of Srpska, the opening of the scientific conference “Serbian spiritual identity”, which has the aim of overlooking the contemporary challenges and the further development of the identity.

On that occasion, President Stevandić stated that the Serbian spiritual sphere and identity are based on the Serbian ownership of the land, churches, monasteries, alphabet, and culture.

“On the territory of BiH the oldest alphabet, identity and sacrament are exactly the ones belonging to our people”, stated Stevandić and added that all this is directly related to the establishment of the Republic of Srpska”.

The event was attended by the leadership of ANURS and the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts, as the organizers and other invitees from public, scientific, spiritual, and socio-political life.

The president of the Academy, Rajko Kuzmanović, said that Serbian spiritual and every other identity has been endangered and that it should be strengthened and kept, keeping in mind the actual and continuous attacks from outside and domestic addresses.

“All this is the maturity of the nation and the participation of the representatives of the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts at this conference, shows that in our case, as well as theirs, no matter where Serbian people are situated, there is the same problem,” said Kuzmanović.

ANURS plans to publish a collection of works from this conference”.
