The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Nenad Stevandić said that Srpska remains committed to peace and has no intention of contributing to the escalation, but to the de-escalation of the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Stevandić said that, at the meeting in Sarajevo with representatives of the EU and the "troika", the delegation from Srpska came with prepared proposals and documents, while on the other side, it was not like that.

"Srpska does not have a problem with the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is incomprehensible to us that Bosniaks would prefer the judge in the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to be an Albanian, rather than a Bosniak," Stevandić said at a press conference with the President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, in East Sarajevo.

He pointed out that the high representative has no qualifications to act according to his acts.

"We will insist on our adopted documents, and Christian Schmidt cannot change the laws," said Stevandić.

Stevandić said that Srpska is asking for goodwill to be shown from the European side, and not just conditionalities.

A meeting of the highest officials of the Republic of Srpska and the Federation of BiH with representatives of the European Union was held at the headquarters of the EU Delegation in Sarajevo.

The meeting was attended by the President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik, Serbian member and chairperson of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr. Nenad Stevandić, Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers Borjana Krišto, FBiH Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, HDZ BiH leader Dragan Čović, NiP leader Elmedin Konaković and the chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdic.

They met with the head of the EU Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Johan Sattler, and the Director General for Europe at the EU External Affairs Service Angelina Eichhorst.
