President Stevandić at the prayer in the St. Sava Temple preceding the President of Serbia leaving for New York

The President of the Republic of Srpska, Dr Nenad Stevandić, attended today in Belgrade the prayer in the St. Sava Temple, preceding the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić leaving for New York, where he would fight against the Resolution on Srebrenica.

The prayer was also attended by the Presidents of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, Aleksandar Vucic and Milorad Dodik, the Prime Minister of Srpska, Radovan Višković, Minister of Security in the BiH Council of Ministers, Nenad Nešić, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Marko Djurić, Minister without Nenad Popovic, as well as other officials of Serbia, Srpska and the representatives of the Serbs from the region.

The prayer has been served by Patriarch Pofririje, who blessed President Vučić and wished him luck and enough courage in the tough days in front of him.

Patriarch Porfirije said that Serbian people would strongly raise their voices against historian revisionism.

“We gathered to pray before your trip to New York. Today we loudly raise our voice against historical revisionism and the Serbian people to be declared as genocide perpetrators. We are in a state of tribulation preceding the biggest world forum, and we pray that the Lord gives you strength to represent our people in the best possible way. To have wisdom and determination, to tell the truth. God bless you!”, said the patriarch in his speech.

Vucic said that he asked the patriarch to bless him before the trip and that he went to New York to fight for the future of Serbia.

 "Those against us are mighty, but Serbia is our greatest sanctuary. There are many lies, but the truth is one and eternal. Our tricolor will fly proudly in New York. Under its auspices, all freedom-loving countries, all nations fighting for dignity and justice, which has been meaningless and humiliated for a long time, will find new energy in advocating for a fairer world. Long live Serbia!" - said Vučić.
