The President of the National Assembly of The Republic of Srpska, Dr. Nenad Stevandić, together with a delegation of parliamentarians, met today in Saint Petersburg with the President of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg, Aleksandr Nikolayevich Belsky, and his assistants.
Stevandić stated that the meeting was a bilateral one between Saint Petersburg and The Republic of Srpska.
“We agreed on a visit by the Saint Petersburg delegation to our National Assembly and the continuation of cooperation. We received support for all our efforts to halt attacks on The Republic of Srpska, to protect its identity, property, and constitutional-legal status, as well as the international Dayton Agreement that protects it it,” said Stevandić.
He expressed satisfaction with the delegation’s second visit to the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg.
“Together, we hope for and call for peaceful solutions between East, West, North, and South. By affirming a policy of mutual respect and recognition of independence, we look forward to better times and even stronger cooperation,” concluded Stevandić.
