The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr Nenad Stevandic, handed over presents to the children staying at the Institute “Dr Miroslav Zotovic” in Banja Luka.
President Stevandic wished the children successful rehabilitation and to return to their houses, as soon as possible.
Stevandić, together with the Director of the Institute, Dr. Goran Talić, and the Head of the Children's Department, Dr. Gabriela Mirković, visited the department where the "Lokomat" robot for the rehabilitation of children with gait disorders is located, and on that occasion thanked the staff of the Institute for their dedicated work.
"The National Assembly traditionally cooperates with the Institute, and I am honored that this year we can raise awareness about the department with a robot that is located here, thanks to which the most difficult cases of children from the Republic of Srpska and Serbia are treated. Robotics represents the gold standard of treatment, which helps both children and their parents, and such a department can only serve for the honor of the Republic of Srpska", said Stevandić, and added that from next year, the practice of delivering Christmas packages will also be introduced at the UKC of the Republic of Srpska and in the Parent Center home.
The representatives of the Institute thanked the President of the National Assembly for the visit and the packets handed over.
"I want to thank the President of the Assembly and the National Assembly for traditionally making the stay of the children in the Institution better. Due to the epidemiological situation, direct contact with the children is not possible, but we convey their gratitude", said Gabriela Mirkovic, head of the Children's Department, on that occasion.
