Doboj Gymnasium students visted the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska

Students and teachers of the Doboj Gymnasium “Jovan Dučić” visited the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska today. Their hosts were the Vice President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Nina Bukejlović, Member of Parliament Miodrag Mišić, and Deputy Secretary General of the Parliament Darko Milaković, who introduced the guests to the competences, organization, and work of the highest legislative institution of the Republic of Srpska.

In her welcoming remarks, Vice President Bukejlović emphasized that it is very important for young people to become more actively involved in the political and social life of Srpska and to become familiar with the work of the most important republican institutions.

Deputy Secretary General Darko Milaković spoke to the students about the history of the parliament, its previous and current 11th convocation, its competences, the Rules of Procedure, and the organization and functioning of the professional Service of the National Assembly.

Together with the parliamentary representatives, the students discussed the procedures for adopting laws and other acts, their implementation, the process of the country’s European integration, and the issue of online violence.

On this occasion, the Doboj gymnasium students visited the Great Plenary Hall, the Small Hall, and the Exhibition Hall of the National Assembly. Along with the school principal, Tijana Vasiljević Stokić, they expressed that it was an honor and a pleasure to visit the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, which recently, on October 24, marked 34 years of work with a ceremonial academy at the Cultural Center “Banski dvor” in Banja Luka.
