President of the National Assembly meets with British Ambassador to BiH, HE Edward Ferguson : It has been pointed out to the problem of the Sava Bridge

President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nedeljko Čubrilović pointed out at today's meeting with the British Ambassador Edward Ferguson on unfounded political obstruction from the Croatian side when it comes to building the bridges over the Sava river near Gradiška and in Svilaj, making difficult the traffic connection between the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina with European Union.

In a conversation with Ambassador Ferguson, president Čubrilović emphasized that the National Assembly supported the initiative of foreign ministers of the United Kingdom and Germany, and that the unanimous adoption of the Declaration on Principles of Accession to the European Union, has shown commitment and determination to fulfil the standards towards European integration.

He pointed out that the RS Parliament is committed to the reform process, progress and creation of conditions for a better future, taking into account the rule of law, which means the legality of work and respect of Constitutions of both, the RS and BiH.

In this context, he recalled that the National Assembly adopted the first set of draft reform laws and thereby demonstrated its determination to create a favourable environment for business community, accelerated development and new employment, which should result in improving of living standard.

They agreed that it is important to develop inter-parliamentary cooperation, both between the RS and FBiH, as well as with parliaments of other countries to convey positive experiences and practices of successful work.
