The first part of the Second Regular Session has been completed, and the Parliament's Work Program for 2023 and the Law on the Special Register of Persons Convicted of Criminal Offenses of Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children have been adopted

The National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska today, at its Second Regular Session, adopted the Parliament's Work Program for 2023, the Law on the Special Register of Persons Convicted of Criminal Offenses of Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children - under urgent procedure, and the Law on Amendments to the Law on the Fund for Development and Employment of the Republic of Srpska - by the urgent procedure.

The Work Program of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska for 2023 was adopted with the accepted amendments of the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the SNSD Deputies' Club.

The Act on the Special Register of Persons Convicted of Criminal Offenses of Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children - under emergency procedure, regulates the maintenance of the Special Register of Persons Convicted of Criminal Offenses of Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children, determines the personal data to be entered in the Register and the manner in which it is stored and provided for use, their degree of confidentiality, as well as special measures that are implemented against persons legally convicted of criminal acts of sexual abuse and exploitation of children.

The purpose of passing the Law is to ensure the protection of children from sexual abuse, abuse and exploitation, and to prevent persons legally convicted of those criminal offenses from committing the same or similar criminal offenses again.

The National Assembly adopted the Decision on the existence of a general interest in determining the retrospective effect of the provision of the Law on a special register of persons legally convicted of criminal acts of sexual abuse and exploitation of children.

The Law on Amendments to the Law on the Fund for Development and Employment of the Republic of Srpska expanded the Fund's activities, including granting loans.

The reasons for the adoption of this law are contained in the need for more intensive support for companies in the Republic of Srpska, given the existing global disturbances in the market.

The Report on the operations of the Investment and Development Bank of the Republic of Srpska was also adopted and funds for 2021, with the report of an independent external auditor.

The Second Regular Session of the National Assembly will continue on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, starting at 10 a.m., with the debate on the Draft Law on the town of Prnjavor - under emergency procedure.
