The first Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia – National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Cooperation Commission
The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia – National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Cooperation Commission on its first sitting enacted one of the crucial conclusions- the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska are strategically dedicated to unique cooperation with the aim of peace, stability and prosperity.
On the Session, opened by the presidents of the two parliaments and later chaired by the vice-presidents Milan Petkovic and Veroljub Arsic, had been concluded that challenges, risks and threats can be faced by cooperation, dialogue and prosperity on all fields.
The Commission considered the development of relations between Serbia and Republic of Srpska in the context of interparliamentary cooperation and the prospect of regional stability and security, parliamentary support for the development of economic and trade cooperation in key areas, with an emphasis on energy and infrastructure.
Deputy Speaker of the Serbian Parliament Veroljub Arsic stressed that parliaments seek to contribute strongly to deepening the strong brotherly and friendly ties that have always been the basis of joint cooperation between Serbia and Republika Srpska, and that the first session of the Commission confirms that interparliamentary relations have entered a new higher stage of intensifying cooperation .
The first session of the Cooperation Committee of the Parliament of Serbia and the National Assembly of Republika Srpska was held on the basis of the Memorandum on the formation of the Cooperation Committee of the two Parliaments of 2018 and on the basis of the Protocol on Cooperation of the two Assemblies of 2008.
