The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Dr Nenad Stevandić, attended today in Drakulić, Banja Luka settlement, the marking of 82 years since Serb suffering in Drakulić, Šargovac, Motike and coal mine Rakovac.

The marking of 82 years of suffering of Serbs was attended by the President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, consul of Serbia in Banja Luka, Vladimir Protić, minister in the Republic of Srpska Government, MPs in the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska and the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, delegation of the Third Infantry/Republic of Srpska/ Regiment of the BiH Armed Forces, city of Banja Luka, NGO dating from the non-governmental organizations resulting from the Defense-Patriotic War and NOR, and numerous citizens.

President Stevandić said to the gathered people that Drakulić is evidence that the victim is stronger than the criminal and that it cannot be forgotten, and the history to be falsified.

"In our villages here, people are still baptized and unfurl Serbian flags for celebrations and weddings. Children here still go to school and learn what this monument means, as well as that there is a great possibility that the Serbian people if they do not have a state, will remain without life., the future and their property," said Stevandić.

If you look at the period in the past 200 years in which the pogroms of the Serbian people took place, from the Turkish era, and the Austro-Hungarian high treason trials, to the First and Second World Wars, says Stevandić, then you can draw the line that Srpska drew in 1995.

“The only time when the people were not afraid of the pogrom, was when they freely professed their faith, belonging, and culture, is the time of the existence of the Republic of Srpska.

He highlighted that it would not allow Serbian victims to be forgotten, and the history falsified.

Because of this, the Republic of Srpska is the most valuable we have. Our responsibility is to pass on this cognition to our children.

The wreath laying was preceded by the Saint liturgy in the St. Мartyr Georgie Church on Petrićevac.
