President Stevandic and Vice-Presidents Duratovic and Ljubojevic hosted pupils and professors of the School of Mechanical Engineering from Prijedor

The National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska has been visited by pupils and professors of the School of Mechanical Engineering from Prijedor, who have been welcomed by the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr Nenad Stevandic.

Pupils and professors were hosted, together with the President, by Vice Presidents Mirsad Duratovic and Anja Ljubojevic, Secretary-General of the parliament Boran Bosancic, and MP from Prijedor Ognjen Vukojevic.

“I am honored that you have visited the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska. The Republic of Srpska and its highest institution are yours and would stay to you. Because you are the future and the biggest potential of our Republic”, said Stevandic to pupils of the School for Mechanical Engineering. 

President Stevandic stated that it is very important for young people to get acquainted with the work of the highest legislative institution where the most important decisions and laws are passed.

“Assembly passes the most important decisions and laws, and other acts which refer to the Republic of Srpska's educational, scientifical, health, financial and security system. All acts which influence public, social, and political life are discussed and passed in the National Assembly”, stressed Stevandic, while talking about the importance and the role of the parliament in the political and parliamentary life of the Republic of Srpska.

President Stevandic wished the pupils success in their further education, highlighting the importance of responsible and conscientious pupils’ behaviour and commitment in achieving new knowledge.

“I wish you to bring great memories from the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska and to participate in political life after finishing your education and contribute to the further development and strengthening of our Republic,” stated the President of the National Assembly.

The Vice President of the National Assembly Mirsad Duratovic said that Assembly belongs to all citizens of the Republic of Srpska and that decisions and laws that have been passed in this institution influence the everyday life of all citizens in the Republic of Srpska.

“All decisions, laws, and regulations are being created and passed in the National Assembly, and because of that this institution needs to beit is important for this institution to be close to young people. It is of great importance for young people to actively participate in political and parliamentary life, and to participate in creation of decisions which influence their life and their future,” stated Duratovic.

Secretary General of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Boran Bosancic talked to the pupils on the organisaion and functioning of the parliament, sessions, procedures while proposing and adopting a law, work of the assembly’ committees, and functioning of the Services of the National Assembly.
