President Stevandic congratulated the Day of the Republic of Srpska Army: I am proud of the historical decision of the National Assembly

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr Nenad Stevandic congratulated May 12- the Day of the Republic of Srpska Army to the commander of the Third Republic f Srpska Regiment of the Armed Forces of BiH, brigadier Sreten Milosevic, all soldiers, officers, and civils in the Third Infantry Republic f Srpska Regiment, which inherits the tradition of the Army of the Republic of Srpska.

“I am proud of the historical decision of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska on May 12, 1992, on creating the Republic of Srpska Army, as a defending army that protected the people of the Republic of Srpska in accordance with the Constitution and the law, defended its territory and gave an immeasurable contribution to the creation and preserving of the Republic of Srpska”, wrote President Stevandic.

He added that this day is the occasion to commemorate and to remember with special respect 23 000 soldiers who gave their lives during the defensive patriotic war in the creation of the Republic of Srpska.

“Our Army whose day we are celebrating, is alive and tough in our hearts, and we are ready to preserve the country that it has created. Long live the Republic of Srpska“, says the congratulatory message of the President of the National Assembly.
