President Stevandic talked with the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Bosnia and Herzegovina

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Dr Nenad Stevandic talked today in Banja Luka with the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to BiH H.E. Roman Hloben on the improvement of bilateral relations between Slovakia and the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and on the European integration process.

The meeting concluded that there are no open questions between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Slovak Republic, which enables the improvement of political and economic cooperation, first of all through new projects and investments. It has been highlighted that partnership between the two countries should be continued and improved. The ambassador welcomed the European Commission's decision and noted that Slovakia had been advocating for accession negotiations for a long time.

President Stevandic introduced Ambassador Hoben to the actual political situation in the country and in the region and on that occasion stressed the main question in BiH- internal agreement of the three peoples and two entities. President Stevandic also thanked the ambassador for the support of the Slovak Republic during the process of European integration in BiH and said that he expects that with the election of a new government, Slovakia will have a better understanding of the position of the Republic of Srpska.
